About Me

After spending a few years after school working and studying in a completely different field I finally decided that I wanted to become a primary school teacher.  I completed my degree in the year 2000 and excitedly accepted a position as a year 2 teacher in Buderim, Queensland.  I taught full time for 3 years before beginning my beautiful family.  Since then I worked in a part time, relief or contract capacity while I raised my 3 daughters.  I began relief teaching not long after my first daughter was born and enjoyed travelling to many different schools on the Sunshine Coast.  I also continued to do this after having my second daughter.  When my 3rd daughter was born we made the big decision to leave family and friends and move across the other side of Australia to Tom Price.  It was an amazing place for the kids to grow up and I enjoyed teaching as a  relief teacher and then as a part time teacher in Kindergarten.  I also took on the pre-kindy program at the North Tom Price Primary school where it was a very loved and appreciated inclusion by all the parents in the town.  After 8 years we moved on to a beautiful town in the South West part of Western Australia, Busselton.  Here my children attend a great school called Georgiana Molloy Anglican College and I have been lucky enough to have worked over the last 7 years on numerous contracts in different year levels as well as regular relief.  One day I hope to gain full permanent employment again, but, in the meantime I love being a relief and contract teacher, as I get to know all the children throughout the school, while at the same time getting valuable experience in all year levels.
